Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

The Walk in Her Shoes program was established in 2008 at Mizzou. This amazing event sponsored by the Panhellenic Association, speaks out against domestic violence towards women and has men walk a mile in women's high heel shoes. The purpose of the event is provide awareness towards domestic violence issues individuals face and to raise money for the Shelter, a local safe haven for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Columbia. Click here for a slideshow!

The event itself has teams of 3 or 4 raise money and do a relay style walk around a track with the men's teams wearing heals. Both men's and women's teams participate and the goal is simple...to raise awareness towards domestic violence issues and to raise as much money as possible for the Shelter.
